About The Position

The Associate Aircraft Records Analyst uses judgement to make decisions and resolve problems on aircraft records using established criteria. As an individual contributor, this role maintains compliance tracking for Aircraft Records ensuring seamless operations at Alaska Airlines (AS).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or an additional two years of experience in aircraft records or related experience in lieu of this degree.
  • Understanding of TRAX computer system.
  • Thorough research and analytical skills to troubleshoot problems.
  • Work effectively under demanding time constraints, completing assignments and projects with accuracy.
  • Able to interpret and understand technical documents, such as AMM, IPC, Engineering Diagrams, ADs and SBs.
  • Strong communication (e.g., verbal, written, and listening), presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with ability to problem solve, multi-task, and work independently with limited guidance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of rotable and life limited parts (including certification and serviceability).
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR).
  • Knowledge of Airworthiness Directive.
  • Inventory tracking experience.

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the Manager of Aircraft Records, identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves issues affecting aircraft records integrity.
  • Collaborates with M&E teams to execute maintenance strategies, lease agreements, and serialized part policies.
  • Focus on M&E’s ongoing improvement efforts, working in collaboration with the team, to ensure compliance with FAA regulations.
  • Follows established criteria in managing regulatory compliance for airworthiness directives (ADs) and engineering controls (EOs).
  • Ensures that tracking and documentation are adequate for forecasting and provides compliance on airframes, engines, landing gears, and appliances.
  • Coordinates within M&E to mitigate compliance risks, ensuring aircraft are maintained in line with lease agreements and are primed for maximum value return or resale.
  • Engage in detailed regulatory analysis of ADs, CFR updates, and proposed rule changes affecting leased and owned aircraft for readiness & re-delivery.
  • Collaborates with Engineering to draft, review, and evaluate task cards used by technicians for aircraft maintenance with limited supervision.
  • Manages and retrieves documentation in support of process improvements to address information gaps and department recommendations.
  • Ensure adherence to FAA regulations and maintain comprehensive historical records for all aircraft, engines, and components.
  • Analyzes life-limited parts from production to service, confirming accurate documentation and partnering with vendors to resolve discrepancies and maintain compliance.
