About The Position

Redfin’s Associate Agent role is for new or experienced real estate agents who want to develop their skills or work with greater flexibility. Associate Agents work with customers on their own schedules and earn money in real estate without closing transactions. They show homes, host open houses, and attend inspections, with opportunities to serve customers especially on weekends. The role involves no sales pressure, contracts, or closings. Work is performed remotely in the field, with no office visits required. Redfin offers free, optional educational services to help agents grow their skills. As an independent contractor, the Associate Agent receives a flat-rate payment for each field event. Applicants must hold a real estate license in the state where they will work and be willing to affiliate their license exclusively with Redfin. They also need a smartphone, laptop, and GPS (or willingness to obtain them), must be willing to join the local MLS and Realtor Association, and need reliable transportation and the ability to travel within their market. Applicants who meet minimum qualifications may be invited to a video screen; a recruiter will contact them about next steps if there is an opening in their area. If there is no current opening, Redfin may retain their information and contact them when new contract opportunities become available. Redfin conducts background screening for this role consistent with applicable law and considers qualified applicants with criminal record histories.
