About The Position

This role involves assisting with new technologies research by conducting research on emerging technologies and providing detailed reports and insights to support the Chief Engineer (CE) for IRAD and New Technologies in strategic decision-making. The position also requires updating project schedules and compiling metrics for IRAD projects to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of progress. Additionally, the role supports the 'What's Next for Waco' (WNFW) project by assisting the CE in identifying and implementing action items, and provides logistical and administrative support for meetings related to IRAD and New Technologies projects.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Materials Science Engineering or related field.
• Completed Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months, regardless of age.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on emerging technologies and provide detailed reports and insights to support the Chief Engineer (CE) for IRAD and New Technologies in strategic decision-making.
• Update project schedules and compile metrics for IRAD (Independent Research and Development) projects to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of progress.
• Assist the CE in identifying and implementing WNFW action items, contributing to the successful execution of these initiatives.
• Provide logistical and administrative support for meetings related to IRAD and New Technologies projects, including preparing materials, taking minutes, and following up on action items.
