About The Position

This role involves assisting with new technologies research by conducting research on emerging technologies and providing detailed reports and insights to support the Chief Engineer (CE) for IRAD and New Technologies in strategic decision-making. The position also includes updating project schedules and compiling metrics for IRAD projects, assisting the CE in identifying and implementing What's Next for Waco (WNFW) action items, and providing logistical and administrative support for meetings related to IRAD and New Technologies projects.

Requirements

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Materials Science Engineering or related field.
• Must have completed their Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months, regardless of age.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on emerging technologies and provide detailed reports and insights to support the Chief Engineer (CE) for IRAD and New Technologies in strategic decision-making.
• Update project schedules and compile metrics for IRAD (Independent Research and Development) projects.
• Assist the CE in identifying and implementing WNFW (What's Next for Waco) action items.
• Provide logistical and administrative support for meetings related to IRAD and New Technologies projects, including preparing materials, taking minutes, and following up on action items.
