About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining a current book of business within commercial lines insurance. The Associate Account Manager will provide timely, professional, and accurate communication to clients, team members, carrier representatives, and underwriters. A key aspect of the role is maintaining current knowledge of various lines of coverage and insurance products, and the ability to make independent decisions using professional judgment. The position requires accurate and consistent maintenance of electronic files and involves a high level of communication within the team, driving activities based on reports and weekly initiatives. Responsibilities include processing policy changes, endorsements, cancellations, and reinstatements, as well as preparing loss histories by requesting loss runs and completing loss summaries. The role also involves evaluating loss analyses for accuracy before submittal for new or renewal business, maintaining a Certificate of Insurance (COI) list, and coordinating with a third-party vendor for COI and Evidence of Insurance issuance. Additionally, the Associate Account Manager will handle insurance requirement reviews, procure quotes for endorsements and additional coverages, and perform policy checking against proposals/applications for accuracy. Reviewing company audits for accuracy and following up on additional premiums are also key duties. The role requires promptly and accurately answering client calls and emails regarding service issues and product queries. The candidate must be willing to acquire additional education and certifications as required for the position and perform other assigned duties.

  • 2 years of experience in Property & Casualty Insurance preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Property & Casualty Insurance License in state of residence
  • Maintain continuing education requirements for state licenses and/or designations

Responsibilities

  • Maintain current book of business
  • Provide timely, professional, accurate communication to client, team, carrier representatives and underwriters

  • Maintain required electronic files accurately and consistently
  • Work in a high communication role with Team and drive activities based on reports and initiatives of the week
  • Issue auto ID cards
  • Process policy changes / endorsements
  • Process cancellations/ reinstatements
  • Prepare loss history: Request loss runs from companies and complete loss summary as needed
  • Evaluate loss analysis and ensure accuracy prior to submittal on new or renewal business
  • Maintain Certificate of Insurance List and create master template for COI’s
  • Coordinate with 3rd Party Vendor for issuance of COI’s and Evidence of Insurance
  • Insurance Requirement Review, including procuring quotes for endorsements and additional coverages as needed
  • Policy Checking - check policies against Proposal/Application in Management System for accuracy and complete checklist
  • Update as needed making any necessary changes
  • Review company audits for accuracy and follow up on additional premiums as according to best practices
  • Answer client calls and emails concerning all service issues and product queries from clients quickly, efficiently, and accurately
  • Ability and willingness to acquire additional education and certifications as for position
  • Perform other duties as and/or assigned
