About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining a current book of business within commercial lines insurance. The Associate Account Manager will provide professional communication to clients, team members, carriers, and underwriters, while staying updated on various lines of coverage and products. The position requires independent decision-making based on insurance knowledge and professional judgment, accurate maintenance of electronic files, and active participation in team communication and weekly initiatives. Key tasks include issuing auto ID cards, processing policy changes and cancellations, preparing loss histories, managing certificates of insurance, reviewing insurance requirements, checking policies for accuracy, and reviewing company audits. The role also involves responding to client inquiries regarding service issues and product queries efficiently and accurately, and a willingness to pursue further education and certifications.

  • Valid Property & Casualty Insurance License required in state of residence

Responsibilities

  • Maintain current book of business
  • Provide timely, professional, accurate communication to client, team, carrier representatives and underwriters
  • Maintain current knowledge of lines of coverage and products
  • Make decisions independently based on knowledge of insurance products and utilizing professional judgement
  • Maintain required electronic files accurately and consistently
  • Work in a high communication role with Team and drive activities based on reports and initiatives of the week
  • Issue auto ID cards
  • Process policy changes/endorsements
  • Process cancellations/reinstatements
  • Prepare loss history: Request loss runs from companies and complete loss summary as needed. Evaluate loss analysis and ensure accuracy prior to submittal on new or renewal business.
  • Maintain Certificate of Insurance List and create master template for COI’s
  • Coordinate with 3rd Party Vendor for issuance of COI’s and Evidence of Insurance
  • Insurance Requirement Review, including procuring quotes for endorsements and additional coverages as needed
  • Policy Checking - check policies against Proposal/Application in Management System for accuracy and complete checklist. Update as needed making any necessary changes
  • Review company audits for accuracy and follow up on additional premiums as required according to best practices
  • Answer client calls and emails concerning all service issues and product queries from clients quickly, efficiently, and accurately
  • Acquire additional education and certifications as required for position
  • Perform other duties as required and/or assigned
