As an Associate Account Executive, you will join TransferMate’s high-performing Direct Sales team as part of our graduate entry programme. This role is designed to develop future commercial leaders within a fast-growing global fintech environment. You will be responsible for driving new business acquisition, supporting the end-to-end sales cycle, and building strong relationships with prospective clients. This is a target-driven role with structured training, mentorship, and clear progression into fully-fledged Account Executive positions.

Requirements

  • Recent graduate (or up to 1–2 years’ experience) in Business, Commerce, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated interest in sales, fintech, or commercial roles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
  • High levels of motivation, resilience, and a results-driven mindset.
  • Commercial curiosity and the ability to quickly grasp technical/payment solutions.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous internship or experience in sales, customer-facing, or commercial roles.
  • Exposure to CRM systems or sales tools.
  • Interest in international business and financial services.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and engage potential clients across target sectors (e.g. education, corporate, and payments).
  • Generate and qualify outbound leads through calls, email outreach, and social selling.
  • Support pipeline development through consistent prospecting activity.
  • Assist in managing the full sales lifecycle from initial outreach to deal closure.
  • Conduct discovery calls to understand client needs and position TransferMate’s solutions effectively.
  • Support demonstrations, proposals, and commercial negotiations under guidance from senior team members.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with prospective clients and key stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce).
  • Develop a strong understanding of TransferMate’s products, value proposition, and competitive positioning in the fintech/payments market.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, customer challenges, and competitor activity.
  • Work towards defined KPIs including activity levels, pipeline generation, and revenue contribution.
  • Demonstrate continuous improvement through coaching, feedback, and training.
