About The Position

Postmedia is a Canadian news media company representing over 110 brands across multiple print, online, and mobile platforms. They are leveraging their authority to build Canada’s most sophisticated digital sales engine. The company is seeking an Associate Account Executive who is driven, coachable, and eager to build a long-term career in digital media sales. This is a developmental role designed for high-potential sellers to evolve into full-cycle Account Executives within a high-performance, tech-enabled environment. The role focuses on new business acquisition, supported by SDRs and an AI-powered sales tech stack. It offers 100% remote freedom, allowing candidates to work from where they are most productive (must be legally eligible to work in Canada). The position utilizes leading-edge AI tools for sales enablement, which summarize meetings, automate follow-ups, provide coaching insights, and eliminate manual administrative work. The role operates within a collaborative 'pod' structure, where SDRs generate pipeline, Sales Engineers support complex digital strategy development, and Service Delivery ensures seamless client execution. There is a clear growth path to a full Account Executive position upon demonstrating consistent performance and mastery of the sales process.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and engage new business through outbound outreach, digital engagement, and SDR-supported opportunities
  • Conduct virtual discovery calls to identify client needs and qualify opportunities
  • Present tailored digital advertising solutions across SEO, SEM, Programmatic, Social, and Display
  • Manage a structured pipeline within CRM, maintaining accurate forecasting and activity tracking
  • Leverage AI tools to improve call performance, objection handling, and follow-up efficiency
  • Consistently achieve or exceed revenue and activity targets
  • Transition qualified opportunities smoothly to internal teams for fulfillment
