About The Position

Manage small projects of lower complexity or a smaller component of a larger project or program. Plan, evaluate, and manage execution of activities to accomplish project objectives under direct supervision of senior level Project or Program Manager. Provide regular reporting of project status, risks, issues, cost and schedule performance to management as well as other project team members.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of managing small projects
  • Solid communication skills with ability to convey information to others
  • Ability to coordinate with individuals in other departments to complete work tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, MS Project)
  • Knowledge of developing Statements of Work in support of RFP execution
  • Ability to explain and define requirements for risk mitigation in terms of technical and project solutions
  • Effective communication skills to make presentations on complex issues to all levels of employees, including senior management

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience.
  • Plus 2 year of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate internal resources and maintain relationships with external resources to ensure timely execution of project tasks.
  • Assist project team members in the definition of project scope and objectives by involving relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide input into development of the detailed project schedule and ongoing tracking of progress against planned durations under supervision of the Senior Project Manager; work with impacted departments to coordinate project activities in accordance with project schedule.
  • Coordinate process steps associated with changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs.
  • Identify and document project issues and risks and monitor progress of mitigation actions.
