About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Associate Medical Director to join our dynamic team in the United States. This pivotal role will support the strategy and execution of comprehensive medical plans in the US, with focus on the ATTR space. The ideal candidate will support the development and execution of plans through various channels, including our field medical team and collaborating closely with cross-functional partners to advance patient care and support healthcare professionals in the diagnosis and management of ATTR.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD) with strong preference for candidates with specialization or experience in cardiology and/or community HCP focus
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical affairs within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, including experience in field medical roles and strategy development.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute medical strategies and effectively communicate complex scientific information to community-level practice audiences
  • Strong educational communication skills, with the ability to guide a field medical teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of US regulatory environment.
  • Ability to travel as needed to fulfill job responsibilities.

  • Experience in developing and/or pulling through Medical Education Messages from concept to execution is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of U.S. Medical Affairs strategies and initiatives aligned with organizational priorities in ATTR amyloidosis.
  • Develop and execute community cardiology education and engagement strategies, including identification of educational opportunities, stakeholder engagement plans, and scientific initiatives designed to address knowledge and practice gaps in ATTR amyloidosis.
  • Lead community-focused medical education and scientific exchange programs, including peer-to-peer initiatives, educational events, advisory and insight activities, digital education programs, and collaborations with professional societies and healthcare organizations.
  • Develop community-focused scientific content and educational resources and serve as the Medical Affairs lead for assigned materials and initiatives, partnering with Medical, Regulatory, Legal, and cross-functional stakeholders to shepherd resources through review processes from concept through approval and implementation.
  • Gather and synthesize community stakeholder insights, educational needs, and evolving practice trends to inform medical strategy, future educational initiatives, and evidence-generation priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with Field Medical, Medical Directors, Medical Communications, Congress, and other cross-functional partners to ensure alignment and successful execution of medical initiatives, congress activities, and stakeholder engagement programs.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations, company policies, and the highest standards of scientific integrity and compliance.
