About The Position

The Central Region Manager Position will be located in either the Greensboro, Raleigh, or Sanford Assistive Technology Center. The primary purpose of this position is to provide management and supervision for the central NCATP centers, specifically in the Raleigh, Sanford, Greensboro, and Winston-Salem locations. This role involves delivering direct services to individuals with disabilities, their families, caregivers, and professionals throughout the central region of the state, particularly in the areas of augmentative communication and assistive technology. This position also includes oversight of all personal and community activities within the central region, acting as an outreach and funding coordinator. The individual will assist the Rehabilitation Program Manager in developing and implementing processes and procedures, managing data elements, and ensuring that both federal and state objectives are met within the assistive technology program. Other major duties include leading statewide initiatives and assist in planning and implementation of outreach services; develop and update program materials including public relations documents, and conduct outreach, training, and awareness activities; serve as program liaison with community partners; assists program director in developing new information and referral programs across the state and assist in grant writing.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a discipline relative to the program from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of related experience; or Bachelor’s degree in a discipline relative to the program area from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to operate a computer and computer software, as well as create spreadsheets and power point presentations.
  • Ability to enter data into developed data collection system.
  • Lifting up to 40 lbs occasionally.
  • Routine travel across the central portion of the state and occasionally across the state as needed.
