About The Position
Performs general interior and exterior building maintenance. Includes preventative maintenance and repair work orders for minor mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs. Completes special tasks that include painting, locksmith work, tenant services requests, special cleaning, and general maintenance as assigned. Maintains and repairs plumbing components including toilets, urinals, lavatories, and flush valves. Maintains and repairs locks, locking mechanisms, door closers, doors, and controllers. Performs general office maintenance such as hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, and repairing office furniture systems. Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested. Maintains light bulbs and ballasts. Prepares, primes, and paints building interior and exterior surfaces. Recognizes danger and safety hazards and proposes methods to eliminate them. Maintains compliance with State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws. Completes all required safety training as scheduled. Complies with all policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials. Updates work order status in real time. Escalates problems or issues to the team in a timely manner. Attends work and safety meetings as required. Experience in controlled working environments is a plus. All other duties and tasks assigned.
Requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects that may be 25+ pounds.
- The ability to see and hear details in order to identify and diagnose problems.
- Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license (if mobile).
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
