About The Position

Aberdeen Ridge is a new senior living community in Colorado Springs, bringing a new perspective to senior living rooted in Christian values and service to older adults of all faiths. We foster a culture of learning, growth, and engagement, prioritizing a great experience for our residents and valuing our heritage as a faith-based, non-profit organization. We are seeking a Qualified Medication Administration Person (QMAP) to empower residents and provide them with the best quality of life and care. The QMAP will assist in administering medications to residents as ordered by physicians and under the supervision of the charge nurse, adhering to all relevant standards and regulations to ensure the highest quality of care. This role emphasizes a person-centered approach, treating the community as the residents' home.

Requirements

Must have successfully completed and be currently listed on the QMAP registry.
High school diploma or equivalent desired.
Previous 6 months of experience in an Assisted Living environment desired.

Responsibilities

Assisting in the administration of medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician and under the supervision of the charge nurse/department director.
Ensuring the administration of medications is in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidance, and regulations governing the Community.
Maintaining the highest degree of quality care.
Valuing the Community as the residents’ home and working to create attributes of home.
Modeling person-centered care.
