About The Position

Aberdeen Ridge is a new senior living community in Colorado Springs, built on the vision of providing a high quality of life and care for residents, rooted in Christian values and service to older adults of all faiths. Aberdeen Ridge aims to provide a great experience for its residents, reflecting its heritage as a faith-based, non-profit organization. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will be empowered to actively participate in the lives of residents and their families, providing direct nursing care and supervising the day-to-day nursing activities of nursing assistants. This role must adhere to current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the Community, ensuring the highest degree of quality care and reflecting a person-centered care model where the resident comes first.

Requirements

Must be a graduate of an approved LPN Program.
Must possess a current license to practice as an LPN in this state.
Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long-term care.

Nice To Haves

Previous geriatric nursing/long-term care experience is a plus.
I.V. Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to residents.
Supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
Ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained.
Reflect the value that the resident comes first.
