Assisted Living Server - Part Time 3 pm to 6:45 pm
About The Position
At The Gables, our food service team does more than just deliver meals; they provide a vital point of daily connection for our elderly residents. We are looking for reliable, compassionate Food Servers to help us maintain a high standard of service in a warm, community-focused environment. This role is ideal for professionals looking for supplemental income. For servers at our assisted living facility, you must be over the age of 18. A comfortable dining experience starts with a pristine environment. Our Lead Servers are responsible for the "total look" of the dining room.
Requirements
- Must be over the age of 18.
- Ability to work a minimum of 3 evenings each week.
- Ability to interact warmly with elderly residents and communicate effectively with the team.
- Ability to lift 20 lbs.
Nice To Haves
- Prior server experience is preferred.
- Not a college student looking solely for summer employment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the dining room flow to ensure residents receive timely and accurate meal service.
- Foster a welcoming, respectful, and patient atmosphere for our residents.
- Assist with light prep, plating, and ensuring the dining area remains pristine.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen staff to accommodate dietary preferences and needs.
- Ensuring all tables are properly set, aligned, and inviting before every meal.
- Changing and laundering tablecloths as needed and ensuring dining room floors are kept clean and debris-free.
- Assisting with the thorough cleaning of the dining area and service stations after each shift.
- Monitoring the overall condition of the dining room to ensure it stays in "great shape" for our residents and their guests.
