About The Position
This role focuses on creating joy, sharing kindness, and sparking connection within a senior living community. The Life Enrichment Assistant will plan and lead engaging activities, enhance daily experiences for residents, provide compassionate support, and foster a welcoming environment. They will also observe and communicate resident well-being to the care team and collaborate with others to create a positive community atmosphere.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 months of experience as an Activities Assistant.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
- A commitment to treating all individuals with dignity, respect, and kindness.

Responsibilities
- Plan and lead engaging activities — Facilitate programs such as music, crafts, games, and themed events that support residents’ cognitive, emotional, and social well-being.
- Enhance daily experiences — Create meaningful moments through celebrations, special events, and purposeful interactions.
- Provide compassionate support — Build strong relationships by offering companionship, encouragement, and assistance with daily routines as needed.
- Coordinate programming — Assist with developing monthly activity calendars, preparing materials, decorating spaces, and ensuring activities run smoothly.
- Foster a welcoming environment — Help new residents feel comfortable and supported while promoting a sense of belonging for all.
- Observe and communicate — Monitor residents’ well-being and promptly report any changes in health or mood to the care team.
- Collaborate with others — Work closely with team members, families, and volunteers to create a positive and engaging community environment.
