About The Position

This position involves assisting with various coaching and training activities for the women's basketball team, including game and practice preparation, player development, and scheduling. A significant portion of the role includes recruiting and scouting student-athletes, evaluating prospects, and corresponding with them. The role also requires assisting with video editing and evaluation, monitoring academic and athletic progress of student-athletes, and supporting fundraising efforts and community engagement initiatives.

Requirements

• Requires a relevant Bachelor's Degree.
• Requires a minimum of 1 year experience in college or professional coaching and/or playing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with various coaching and training activities during games and practices.
• Assist with game and practice preparation and player development.
• Assist in scheduling.
• Provide assistance in recruiting and scouting highly skilled student athletes while initiating oral and electronic correspondence and evaluating college eligible prospects.
• Provide assistance in editing and evaluating videotapes from practices and games.
• Assist in monitoring the academic and athletic development of student athletes to ensure player eligibility and to support the educational goals of individual students.
• Assist in fundraising efforts and bring initiatives to help community engagement/attendance.
