About The Position
The Assistant Women's Basketball Coach will assist with various coaching and training activities during games and practices, including game and practice preparation and player development. This role also involves assisting in scheduling, recruiting and scouting highly skilled student athletes, editing and evaluating videotapes, monitoring academic and athletic development of student athletes, and assisting in fundraising efforts and community engagement initiatives.
Requirements
- Requires a relevant Bachelor's Degree.
- Requires a minimum of 1 year experience in college or professional coaching and/or playing experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist with various coaching and training activities during games and practices.
- Assist with game and practice preparation and player development.
- Assist in scheduling.
- Provide assistance in recruiting and scouting highly skilled student athletes while initiating oral and electronic correspondence and evaluating college eligible prospects.
- Provide assistance in editing and evaluating videotapes from practices and games.
- Assist in monitoring the academic and athletic development of student athletes to ensure player eligibility and to support the educational goals of individual students.
- Assist in fundraising efforts and bring initiatives to help community engagement/attendance.
