About The Position

Dutchess Community College seeks an Assistant Women's Basketball Coach to help organize, administer, and coach the Women's Basketball program for the 2024–2025 academic year. The role includes supervising staff and student-athletes and contributing to a quality intercollegiate basketball program. Positions in the Athletics Department are employees of the Dutchess Community College Association. This position is based on a 12-month employment agreement and pays $1,000–$3,000 per season. Requirements

• Valid New York driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's degree or bachelor's degree.
• At least two years of basketball coaching experience at the high school level or two years of basketball coaching experience at the collegiate level.

Responsibilities

• Execute a clearly defined philosophy of coaching and teaching the sport.
• Recruit sufficiently qualified student-athletes.
• Conduct fundraising activities, including camps and clinics, to help meet team financial goals.
• Monitor student-athletes' academic progress and provide support.
• Scout and prepare the team for competition.
• Comply with College, NJCAA, Region 15, and Mid-Hudson Conference rules and regulations, and oversee other aspects of directing a quality intercollegiate basketball program.
• Supervise staff and student-athletes.
