Carnegie Mellon University's Department of Athletics is seeking a full-time Assistant Coach for its Women's Basketball program. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required.
Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
Child Protection Clearances (Act 153).
Motor Vehicle Records (MVR).

Nice To Haves

1-3 years of collegiate coaching experience preferred or experience as a successful collegiate competitor.
A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.

Responsibilities

Experience with identifying and recruiting potential student-athletes.
Assist with skill instruction, motivation, and the ability to conduct practice sessions under the direction of the head coach, including planning and implementation.
Utilizing Fast Model and Synergy Sports for opponent scouting, film analysis/breakdown, and game preparation.
Implementing and executing player development plans.
Responsibilities will include home event management and teaching in the physical education program.
Mentor and support student-athletes in their academic progress, leadership development, and overall well-being.
Support the women’s basketball strength and conditioning program.
Coordinating logistics and itineraries for team travel.
Ability to work outside the normal business hours, holidays, and weekends.
Other duties as assigned.
