About The Position

We are looking for an Assistant Wellness Director who is passionate about senior care, enjoys leading and supporting a team, and takes pride in providing compassionate, high-quality care to our residents. As the Assistant Wellness Director, you will work closely with the Wellness Director and care team to support the delivery of safe, compassionate, and high-quality resident care. You will help provide clinical leadership, support team members, monitor resident needs, and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable state and federal regulations.

Requirements

  • At least two years of professional experience in a senior living or healthcare setting
  • At least two years of supervisory or management experience with direct-care staff
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • A commitment to resident-centered care and service excellence
  • Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, team members, and community leadership

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and ongoing evaluation of nursing policies and procedures in accordance with current standards of practice, company philosophy, and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Communicate policies, procedures, and expectations clearly to nursing and care staff while supporting consistent implementation.
  • Conduct resident assessments and assist with determining appropriate levels of care and service for residents and their families, as directed.
  • Promote a culture of compassionate, person-centered care and ensure residents receive appropriate services and staff support.
  • Monitor the overall quality of resident care, including cleanliness, staffing coverage, resident safety, and maintenance of residents' physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and support the use of key clinical quality indicators to promote positive resident outcomes.
  • Review daily 24-hour reports and follow up on significant changes in resident condition, incidents, injuries, transfers, discharges, medication errors, potential abuse or neglect, loss of resident property, and resident or family concerns.
  • Ensure significant changes in resident condition and other reportable events are appropriately documented and communicated in accordance with company policies and state regulations.
  • Partner with the Wellness Director and leadership team to identify opportunities for improvement and promote a positive, collaborative culture among care team members.
  • Serve as a visible and supportive leader who helps team members succeed while keeping resident care and safety at the center of all we do.
