About The Position

The Assistant Volleyball Coach will assist the Head Volleyball Coach with the overall oversight of the day-to-day operations and functions of the SF volleyball team. Responsibilities and Duties Include: Assist the head coach with sport-specific instruction, team conditioning, game strategy, facility upkeep, equipment organization, recruiting of prospects, and travel to away games during the sport playing season. Ability to demonstrate the skills necessary to teach volleyball including passing, settings, and hitting. Complies with all published College Rules, procedures, guidelines, and laws/regulations governing public employees, including but not limited to those related to document retention and destruction, FERPA, and confidentiality. Strictly honors the privacy, security, and confidentiality of records and other sensitive information according to appropriate state, federal, and college regulations, policies, and procedures. Provides service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible, and professional engagement. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A combination of education and/or post-high-school sport experience equal to four (4) years, which may include: a bachelor's degree with collegiate playing experience; an associate's degree with collegiate playing experience and two (2) years of directly related experience in coaching at any level or playing at the collegiate and/or professional level; or a high school degree or equivalent with four (4) years of coaching experience at the collegiate and/or professional level.
  • A criminal background check will be conducted.
  • Must be able to lift/carry items more than 20 pounds; push and pull; bend and stoop; reach and grasp; and other repetitive motions.
