About The Position

To plan and lead the development, implementation and communication of Navy Federal’s short and long-term medium to long-term strategic workforce planning function which supports the optimization and scaling of an ever evolving workforce. Partner with senior leadership across the enterprise to identify talent needs and develop actionable workforce plans that ensure Navy Federal has the right mix of talent, technologies and employment models to achieve strategic goals and drive positive business outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Analytics, or Finance or a related field or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
  • Significant experience in a business strategy role focused on Human Capital, implementing innovative Workforce Planning, Talent Strategy and HR Analytics programs; preferably for a large organization
  • Significant experience defining workforce planning, workforce analytics and / or talent strategy programs and approaches to drive workforce effectiveness and forecast the future workforce
  • Significant experience building analytical models from multiple data sources, dimensions, and perspectives
  • Significant experience managing cross-functional, multi-dimensional teams and projects of the highest complexity which have business risk and impact
  • Thorough knowledge of workforce planning methodologies, models and best practices and experience implementing them
  • Strong and inclusive people and team leader, focused on coaching, development and teaming
  • Advanced consultative skills and experience, defining business case and solutions, defining outcomes
  • Advanced thought-leadership, initiative-taking, and decision-making skills
  • Expert analytical, planning, organizational and problem-solving skills with significant experience in problem resolution, including the ability to assimilate and analyze facts and determine root cause, scope, and scale of issues
  • Advanced skill presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives and information clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences up to and including executive leadership
  • Effective skill to influence, negotiate and persuade to reach agreeable exchange and positive outcomes
  • Significant experience building, managing, and developing teams and individuals by coaching and mentoring to grow expertise and effectiveness

Responsibilities

  • Develop a strategic enterprise approach to workforce planning using insights from analytics, human capital practices, and business strategy
  • Build functional capabilities to provide a comprehensive forward-looking view of the business that incorporates workforce data from internal and external sources and supports short and long-term workforce plans in cadence with the organization’s operational cycles
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop strategic priorities and the future workforce; identify critical roles, competencies, and functions that enable the successful execution of strategic goals
  • Leverage quantitative and qualitative data and analytics methods to provide insights on talent and business demand drivers, labor supply and market trends
  • Guide in-depth analysis on resource demand and supply, and incorporate benchmark data to provide a compelling narrative which enables informed business decisions
  • Lead the evaluation, implementation, and management of workforce planning technology to drive labor strategy decisions across the credit union
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of comprehensive tools, dashboards and resources to implement workforce improvements and link to related strategies such as recruitment, succession planning, etc.
  • Partner with Finance for planning and projections
  • Stay abreast of labor market trends and risks while considering workforce implications for the credit union
  • Mobilize cross functional efforts around workforce planning goals and partner with key stakeholders across the credit union
  • Perform other duties as assigned
