About The Position

We are seeking an Assistant Vice President Commercial Portfolio Manager to assist in managing credit risk and loan quality in the commercial loan portfolio. Duties include assisting with loan underwriting; managing exceptions; collecting and monitoring customer financial information; preparing portfolio management reports; and managing smaller and/or low activity accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business or related fields.
  • 3-5 years of commercial credit experience with focus on commercial real estate lending.
  • Strong analytical skills and an understanding of financial accounting.
  • Excellent communications, customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, work independently and multi-task.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, along with core banking systems (Jack Henry preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities with Lending Personnel and Credit Administration
  • Assist in underwriting new loans and research on tenants and market conditions.
  • Complete annual reviews on loan relationships on an as needed basis.
  • Aid Assist in loan modifications/extensions and preparation of necessary documentation.
  • Assist in credit approval process and management of loan process from origination to post-closing monitoring.
  • Assist in preparing/reviewing credit risk ratings and relationship reviews.
  • Coordinate ordering and review of third-party reports and perform site inspections as required.
  • Work with loan customers to collect required financial statements, rent rolls, and tax returns.
  • Manage documentation exception reporting process and monitor credit quality through financial reporting.
  • Coordinate and interface with Credit Administration for audits.
  • Assist in coordinating loan concentration and property sensitivity analysis reports as needed.
  • Act as day-to-day point of contact for customer service issues and cross-sell bank services and products.
  • Contributes to effective team management of customer problems, issues, and opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other bank departments.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
