Assistant Vice President, Field Origination (Real Estate Lending/Purchase)
About The Position
To provide leadership and operational direction for activities related to nationwide first mortgage loan origination; processing; closing and funding. Manage execution of business and organizational objectives while meeting regulatory requirements and maintaining Navy Federal's strategic plan responsive to Navy Federal's membership. Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures of Navy Federal, NCUA, its private and institutional investors and laws and regulations applicable to mortgage lending (e.g., RESPA, TIL, ECOA). Oversee the quality and effectiveness of Field Mortgage purchase origination strategy to improve results. Manage, evaluate, and adjust branch work quality, staff performance, processes and procedures to meet goals. Lead, provide guidance and direction to Field Mortgage management and staff to drive application volume and ensure prompt, courteous member service. Formulate appropriate policy, priorities and strategic initiatives. Support executive management in developing and executing Real Estate Lending strategic direction. Ensure effective pipeline management while collaborating with fulfillment business partners.
Requirements
- Nationwide first mortgage loan origination, processing, closing, and funding experience.
- Experience managing execution of business and organizational objectives.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and Navy Federal's strategic plan.
- Understanding of compliance with policies and procedures of Navy Federal, NCUA, private and institutional investors, and applicable mortgage lending laws and regulations (e.g., RESPA, TIL, ECOA).
- Experience overseeing the quality and effectiveness of origination strategies.
- Experience managing, evaluating, and adjusting branch work quality, staff performance, processes, and procedures.
- Experience leading, guiding, and directing management and staff.
- Experience formulating policy, priorities, and strategic initiatives.
- Experience supporting executive management in strategic direction development and execution.
- Experience with pipeline management and collaboration with fulfillment business partners.
