About The Position

Travelers is hiring an Assistant Vice President of Architecture in its Enterprise Data, Digital and Analytics (EDDA) business unit. Reporting directly to the Chief Architect, this executive will shape long-term architecture strategy and lead architects aligned to the Data Products and Data Enablement value streams. The role calls for extensive architecture experience, ideally in financial services or insurance, and the ability to lead, develop, and inspire high-performing technical teams. For Enterprise Data Products, the role owns technical strategy and execution enablement across Master Data Management platforms and Geospatial capabilities, architects enterprise data products for Enterprise Distribution and Enterprise Underwriting, and leads architecture for an Enterprise Generative Business Intelligence platform. For Data Enablement, the role sets architectural direction for data platform standards, data management and governance, enterprise data catalog strategy, lineage and metadata, and data quality tools and pipelines. The role also covers third-party data management and the data platform architecture underpinning both value streams. The successful candidate will guide modern cloud-based data platform work across leading cloud providers and champion AI and architecture integration. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on solution architecture to ensure sound, secure, scalable delivery. The position is based at a Travelers primary hub in Hartford, Connecticut; St. Paul, Minnesota; or Hunt Valley, Maryland. Hybrid and fully in-office arrangements are available.
