About The Position

This position is for an Assistant Varsity Football Coach at Churchland High School. The coach will work under the Head Varsity Football Coach and is expected to have extensive knowledge of the rules and skills of football, be program-centered, exhibit good sportsmanship, and understand VHSL rules. The role requires working well with children and may involve exposure to various environmental conditions and moderate physical activity.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of coaching experience as an Assistant or Head Coach preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of the rules and skills in the sport.
• Must be program centered.
• Must have specific skills and exhibit good sportsmanship.
• Must have knowledge of VHSL rules.
• Works well with children.
• Previously competed at the college level, club team or professional level.
• Submit a standard on-line application.
• Submit two letters of reference.
• Submit a recent TB test or screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Varsity Football Coach in all aspects of the football program.
• Ensure extensive knowledge of the rules and skills of football.
• Be program-centered and exhibit good sportsmanship.
• Work well with children.
• Adhere to VHSL rules.
