About The Position

PACE Healthcare Transportation is seeking an Assistant Transportation Coordinator to help facilitate and implement transportation services for members traveling to the center. This management role oversees drivers and helps ensure members can access the medical, social, and physical benefits associated with center participation. The coordinator works closely with family members and external caregivers to support members’ comfort and trust, explain services and upcoming appointments or activities, and assist with schedule planning. The role also participates in Plan of Care development for members.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in a supervisory role.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license to operate a van or bus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to evaluate and prioritize needs quickly while maintaining a positive, team-first attitude.
• Strong listening and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience transporting passengers with special mobility needs.
• CPR/basic first aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities for drivers, including third-party providers.
• Coordinate outside services for members, including appointments, consultations, and specialist appointments.
• Conduct monthly driver training on topics such as member safety and escorting, accident avoidance, and related areas.
• Evaluate vendor invoices and contracts.
• Manage vehicle maintenance according to established best practices and OEM-recommended schedules.
• Work with family members and external caregivers to maximize members’ comfort and trust.
• Remain consistently available to family members and use listening and problem-solving skills to educate participants about services, appointments, activities, and schedule planning.
• Participate in Plan of Care development for members.
