About The Position

The Assistant Track and Field Coach for Sprints and Hurdles is a full-time, term position within the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics at Southeast Missouri State University. This role involves coaching, recruiting, and providing academic oversight for student-athletes. The coach will also perform administrative duties related to the track & field/cross country programs and promote the university and its athletics program through community involvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Demonstrated successful experience coaching or competitive experience with sprints and/or hurdles
• Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to NCAA regulations
• Demonstrated ability to work successfully with students, faculty, community and media
• Demonstrated ability to motivate student-athletes academically and athletically
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work evening and weekend hours
• Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service
