About The Position
The Assistant to the Director of Media & Communications works under the direct supervision of the Director of Media & Communications and supports the church's media production, digital communications, and online presence. This position works closely with the Director to help communicate the mission and ministries of Shearer Hills Baptist Church through creative and engaging media.
Requirements
- Excellent attendance, punctuality, and dependability.
- Availability on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Professionalism, integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Positive, servant-hearted attitude and ability to work well on a team.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with audio, video, or lighting production.
- Experience with video editing software.
- Experience creating content for Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and other digital platforms.
- Experience with Canva.
- Basic website management experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
Responsibilities
- Assist with live audio, video, and lighting during worship services.
- Record and edit videos for sermons, events, and promotions.
- Create graphics and digital content for ministry communications.
- Assist with managing Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and other digital communication platforms.
- Update website content and announcements.
- Support media volunteers and assist with special projects as assigned.
