About The Position

NYU Grossman School of Medicine is seeking an Assistant to Course Instructor. This Per Session role involves conducting a weekly 75-minute recitation session to supplement a semester-long NYU undergraduate lecture class. The position also includes providing student advisement and office hours, performing managerial, organizational, and instructional tasks as directed by the instructor, and communicating regularly with the course instructor and CAMS coordinator/director. Additional duties involve assisting with grading, managing correspondence, attendance, and the course Blackboard website.

Requirements

• Completion of all required credits needed to obtain an undergraduate degree.
• Extensive academic experience in psychology or related areas.
• Substantial knowledge of the subject matter they teach.
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced terminal graduate degree (e.g., M.F.A, M.P.H, M.S.W, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Conduct a weekly 75-minute recitation session.

• Communicate with the CAMS coordinator and CAMS Department Director as needed.
