About The Position

CVRx is a publicly traded medical device company headquartered in Minneapolis, MN, focused on advancing innovative therapies for patients with cardiovascular disease. Its flagship product, Barostim, is an implantable device designed to improve heart failure symptoms by stimulating carotid baroreceptors and rebalancing the autonomic nervous system—offering a novel, life-changing therapy for patients. This role is an Assistant Territory Manager (ATM) with a 12-month development path to Territory Manager. It offers the opportunity to be part of a high-growth, expansion-stage team bringing a breakthrough therapy to market, representing a novel, first-of-its-kind technology that can significantly improve patients’ quality of life. The role involves market development with strong upside and autonomy, making a meaningful clinical impact in heart failure care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 1–3+ years of medical, pharmaceutical, or B2B sales experience (cardiology or primary care preferred)
  • Established relationships with cardiologists and/or referring physicians (especially in Reno/Salt Lake City)
  • Strong clinical aptitude and comfort working in the operating room
  • Demonstrated sales drive, grit, and competitive mindset
  • Proven track record of performance (sales success, athletics, or similar high-achievement environments)
  • Ability to manage long, complex sales processes
  • Willingness to travel ~50%

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in heart failure, interventional cardiology, or implantable devices
  • Exposure to clinical trials or technical training environments

Responsibilities

  • Support and grow CVRx’s presence across Winston Salem/ Greensboro, NC markets.
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders including: Cardiovascular & heart failure surgeons, Vascular/CT surgeons, Cardiologists and referring physicians.
  • Drive adoption of Barostim therapy across: Hospitals (OR & Cath Lab), Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs), Heart failure clinics and heart institutes.
  • Assist in clinical case support and follow-ups, including operating room presence.
  • Navigate and manage long, complex sales cycles (including prior authorization processes up to 5+ months).
  • Build and execute territory plans focused on market development and new account penetration, especially in untapped areas.
  • Partner closely with the Territory Manager to transition into full ownership of the territory within 12 months.
