About The Position

Prestonwood Country Club is seeking a friendly, outgoing team player to join their Tennis Team as an Assistant Tennis Professional. This role is responsible for all aspects of the tennis and pickleball program, including supervising play, providing instruction, and promoting club events. The ideal candidate will enthusiastically encourage participation and contribute to the growth of the tennis and pickleball program, while also representing the club in professional activities.

Responsibilities

Supervise all tennis & pickle ball play by greeting and assisting members, guests, and visitors.
Take court reservations by members over the phone or in person.
Control play, keep court times on schedule, and verify player check-ins and guest registrations.
Provide private and group tennis & pickle ball instruction to members.
Assist in running the tennis shop and performing duties of the tennis shop attendant.
Assist in maintaining tennis & pickle ball courts and facilities, including daily inspections and cleanliness.
Assist in maintaining and repairing equipment for court and facility upkeep.
Develop, organize, and run junior tennis leagues.
Assist in planning, organizing, and running adult and junior events, socials, and round robins.
String and regrip tennis racquets, customizing them per player's needs.
Attend weekly tennis staff meetings for communication, planning, and program implementation.
Maintain current advancements in the tennis industry by attending yearly association workshops.
