Assistant Tennis & Pickleball Professional
About The Position
We are seeking a dynamic Assistant Tennis & Pickleball Professional to join our team! In this role, you will support the daily operations and overall success of the Racquet Sports program. You will also be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, enhancing member engagement through programming and events, and maintaining the standards of excellence expected at a premier private club. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in all facets of racquet sports, enthusiastic, and has a heart for hospitality. Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily management of court scheduling, reservations, and usage
- Ensure all racquet facilities are prepared for play and meet club standards
- Support lesson scheduling, program coordination, and staff communication
- Provide exceptional service to members and guests at all times
- Conduct private and group lessons for both tennis and pickleball
- Assist in the development and execution of junior and adult instructional programs
- Support clinics, camps, and player development pathways
- Promote participation and help grow overall program revenue
- Ensure accurate completion of member charges and payments
- Teach racquet sports lessons, clinics for members and children
- Assist in planning and executing racquet sports events, mixers, and social activities
- Create engaging experiences that encourage member participation and retention
- Support themed events, holiday programming, and club-wide initiatives
- Promote all events and weekly programs with all members
- Participate and play in doubles or singles games arranged with members
- Organize and coordinate interclub and in-house leagues for tennis and pickleball
- Assist members with team formation, match scheduling, and communication
- Promote league participation and ensure a positive competitive environment
- Provide specific feedback and advice during matches and clinics
- Assist with merchandising, inventory management, and retail sales
- Provide product knowledge and recommendations to members
- Ensure the pro shop is clean, organized, and visually appealing
- String member and demo racquets as requested
- Assist members in signing up for programs, games, clinics, etc.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of courts and surrounding areas
- Monitor court conditions and report maintenance needs promptly
- Ensure equipment (nets, ball machines, teaching carts) is in proper working order
- Maintain daily court cleaning, including morning set up, blowing and grooming hard and clay courts, adding and distributing clay as needed, keeping ball carts and equipment areas organized, and ensuring all racquet-sport facilities meet Bella Collina’s standards.
