About The Position

Provides support to the operation of the Laboratory by assisting with pre-analytical and post-analytical processes to support optimal patient outcomes. The role is responsible for assigned shifts and is subject to overtime and call back as required. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Basic computer literacy.
• Skill in communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral, and verbal formats to achieve high productivity and efficiency.
• Skill to write legibly and record information accurately as necessary to perform job duties.

Nice To Haves

• Hospital accessioning experience.
• Training acquired in a hospital or clinic setting with accessioning specimens.
• Computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and maintains the quality of specimens.
• Communicates with patients and customers.
• Assesses specimens.
• Performs urine drug screen collections and industrial screening as required.
• Supports lifelong learning.
• Completes assigned goals.
• Provides support for pre-analytical and post-analytical laboratory processes.
• Works assigned shifts and is subject to overtime and call back as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
