About The Position

Penn State Behrend invites applications for a 36-week, non-tenure track faculty position in Biology at the Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor or Lecturer rank to begin August 1, 2026. We are seeking a dedicated educator who is passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation of scientists. Requirements

  • A master’s degree in biology or a related field is the minimum required by the employment start date.

  • Onsite teaching is an essential function of this job.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching responsibilities will primarily include participation in introductory-level biology courses and laboratories.
  • There is the possibility of contributing to upper-level course offerings relevant to the successful candidate’s background and the needs of the School of Science.
