About The Position

As an Assistant Teacher at Child Development Schools, you will work alongside the Lead Teacher to create a warm, welcoming classroom where young learners can explore, learn, and grow. You will support children through meaningful, age-appropriate experiences that encourage curiosity, confidence, kindness, and development. The role includes engaging directly with children, partnering with families, and contributing to a collaborative teaching team focused on making early childhood education nurturing, safe, engaging, and fun.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Genuine care for children and commitment to their safety and well-being.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with families.
• Physical ability to meet the demands of working with young children.

Nice To Haves

• A degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education.
• Prior experience in a licensed childcare center.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate classroom lessons and activities.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements.
• Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time.
• Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher.
• Build relationships with families through warm, consistent daily communication.
• Assist with classroom documentation, including attendance and daily reports.
