About The Position

The Assistant Teacher assists with the overall care and education of children from birth through age 12. Under the direction and supervision of the Lead Teacher, the Assistant Teacher provides a nurturing, stable, and safe environment. The role facilitates interactions that support children's self-esteem, social competence, and intellectual growth, and implements daily lesson plans developed in conjunction with the Lead Teacher.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in a professional childcare setting.
• Experience with young children in a group setting.
• Flexibility in scheduling.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in work responsibilities.
• Positive and energetic personality.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Negative criminal background check consistent with state childcare requirements.
• Dependable transportation.
• Working telephone.
• CPR certification.
• First Aid certification.
