About The Position

Middletown Christian Early Learning Center is in search of an assistant teacher for our 2 year old class. Must enjoy working with young children. Hours include: Monday through Friday 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Spiritual Maturity: Publicly profess a faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Actively engage in the life and ministry of the church as a member. Believe and support the school’s statement of faith (Statement of Grace Baptist Church). Agree to abide by the Lifestyle Statement.

Requirements

• Must clear full background check and pass health screening.
• Must be trained within 90 days of hire in Infant/Child CPR and First Aid.
• Ability to work well with others (staff, child, parents) and to foster a team environment.
• High School Diploma is a must.

Nice To Haves

• Childcare experience.
• CDA (Child Development Associate) training is encouraged at some point.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with implementing the program.
• Maintain communication with parents.
• Adhere to State of Ohio licensing rules as well as ELC policies.
• Maintain personal professional development which includes 10 clock hours in specialized training.
• Must be willing to work with any age in the ELC (6 weeks to 5 years) when needed.
