About The Position

Children of America is hiring an Assistant Teacher to work alongside a team of educators in a supportive environment, helping provide early childhood education for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. Programs include Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Pre-K, Before & After Care, and Summer Camp. The role works daily with children, parents, management, and teaching staff to support a collaborative and positive learning environment. The position pays $17.00 to $18.00 per hour; final compensation depends on experience, skills, location, and internal equity. The role may also be eligible for performance-based incentives or other benefits. Job offers are contingent upon successful completion of a background check and submission of required state documents.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least 6 months of experience in a licensed childcare setting.
• Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
• Flexibility and adaptability in challenging situations.
• Commitment to professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily lesson plans.
• Assist in creating a safe, structured, and positive learning environment.
• Communicate professionally with parents, children, and team members.
