About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our team. As an Assistant Teacher, you will work closely with the lead teacher to provide a nurturing and educational environment for our students. This is a paid position, and previous experience working with students is preferred.
Requirements
- Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues and parents/guardians
- Understanding of basic math and literacy education for young children
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children
- Ability to provide care for toddlers, including diapering and feeding
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
- Support students in their learning journey, providing individualized attention and guidance
- Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement behavior management strategies
- Assist with classroom management, ensuring a safe and organized learning space
- Provide support to students with special needs, including those on the autism spectrum
- Foster a love for learning by engaging students in interactive and hands-on activities
- Assist with daily tasks such as preparing materials, setting up learning centers, and maintaining cleanliness
