About The Position
The Assistant Teacher is responsible for the care, supervision, and safety of classroom children. They will assist staff in planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum. This role is responsible for keeping the classroom and playground clean, safe, and orderly. The ideal candidate will have compassion and understanding of the needs of children and families from all backgrounds. They must learn, implement, and follow all program policies and procedures. This position encourages self-esteem and independence for the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical needs of each child. The Assistant Teacher ensures that health, safety, and nutritional education are integrated into the overall curriculum planning. They are also responsible for program operations in the absence of the Head Teacher.
