About The Position

The Head Start Assistant Teacher helps ensure that comprehensive Head Start services are provided to enrolled children and families. The role uses the center environment to assist staff in creating rich learning opportunities built around daily routines and supporting each child's development and education. The position is full time for nine months of the year, with furlough from May through August.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Current Pre-K CDA, or willingness to obtain one through the organization at no cost within two years.
• Enrolled in a program leading to an associate or baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Education.
