About The Position

The Learning Experience – South Lyon Township is seeking a caring and dependable Assistant Teacher to support our Infant, Toddler, and Preschool classrooms. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with young children while partnering with experienced Lead Teachers to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment. At The Learning Experience, we make early education joyful, engaging and fun so children are happy to learn, play and grow. Our curriculum focuses on the six ages and stages of early childhood development and engages children in hands-on learning activities that encourage them to explore and solve problems at their own rate of development. This forms a foundation for kids to Learn, Play and Grow under the care of our nurturing teachers and staff. At TLE®, we’ve created a full cast of characters that become our little learners’ educators, partners and friends through their preschool education journey. Each character has a unique personality and area of interest and brings learning to life by allowing children to explore the world through fun and imagination.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Reliable, patient, and team-oriented

Nice To Haves

• Previous childcare, daycare, or preschool experience preferred
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Support Lead Teachers with daily classroom routines and learning activities
• Assist with meals, diapering, toileting, transitions, and outdoor play
• Encourage children's social, emotional, language, and cognitive development through hands-on activities
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators
• Follow all Michigan childcare licensing regulations and center policies
