About The Position

Little Stars Kid's Club Licensed Childcare is seeking an Assistant Teacher for their Golden Valley, MN location. This is a part-time position, Monday-Friday from 12:00 pm to 5:30 pm, offering guaranteed 22.5 hours per week with opportunities for additional hours. The role involves supervising and playing with children, teaching socialization skills, focusing on early learning concepts (alphabet, colors, numbers), attending to children's needs, creating art projects, and communicating with parents about development. The position primarily works with infants but will combine with toddlers and/or preschoolers at closing time.

Requirements

• Assistant Teacher Qualified per DHS Rule 3 (Minn. Rules 9503.0005-.0170 and Minn. Stats. §§ 245A, 245C and 626.556)
• 18 years of age or older
• Successful clearance of Department of Human Services background check
• Successful clearance of Motor Vehicle Background Check and acceptable driving record per Company Policy
• Proficiency in spoken and written English communication

Responsibilities

• Attend childcare trainings
• Engage and encourage children to develop physically, emotionally and socially
