About The Position
Kids N Fitness of Decatur East is a licensed childcare center seeking an Assistant Teacher to support our Two-Year-Old classroom! This is a full-time position with a required shift of Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm. The compensation is $17-$18/hour, based on education and experience. Kids N Fitness is a family-oriented, close-knit organization that values its team members.
Requirements
- High school diploma OR GED
- Ability to pass all background checks.

Responsibilities
- Willingness to effectively substitute for any position as needed. This includes covering staff members’ breaks, filling in for staff members in their absences, and assuming the classroom duties of staff members before or after their scheduled shifts.
- Demonstrate patience, kindness and positive interactions with all children, parents, and staff.
- Operate as a team player and willingness to help where needed under the director of the lead teacher.
- Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
