Assistant Teacher - Infant Classroom
About The Position
As an Assistant Teacher in the infant classroom at Child Development Schools, you will work alongside the Lead Teacher to create a warm, safe classroom that encourages discovery, creativity, learning, and joy. You will support young learners through meaningful experiences that foster curiosity, confidence, kindness, and growth, including hands-on activities, storytelling, and everyday learning moments. You will be a trusted partner to families, a positive role model for children, and part of a collaborative teaching team focused on engaging, nurturing, safe, and fun early childhood education. The position is in Ringgold, Georgia.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Genuine care for children and commitment to their safety and well-being.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with families.
- Physical ability to meet the demands of working with young children.
Nice To Haves
- A degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education.
- Prior experience in a licensed childcare center.
Responsibilities
- Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities for the classroom.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements.
- Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time.
- Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher.
- Build relationships with families through warm, consistent daily communication.
- Assist with classroom documentation, including attendance and daily reports.
