About The Position

The Assistant Teacher supports the daily care and development of children at a child care center. The role follows licensing guidelines and company standards, maintains a fun, interactive, clean, and organized classroom, and helps observe and assess children and plan for their needs. Assistant Teachers engage with families and complete extensive training in childcare, preschool, and child development. The position requires working indoors or outdoors and participating in physical activities with children.

Requirements

• Ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
• Energetic and dependable, with a passion for working with children.

Responsibilities

• Follow all licensing guidelines and company standards to ensure the daily care of every child.
• Maintain a fun, interactive classroom that is clean and organized.
• Observe and assess children and help plan for their needs.
• Communicate effectively with families.
• Complete training on childcare, preschool, and child development topics.
• Engage in physical activity with children indoors or outdoors.
