About The Position
The Red Barn is hiring a caring and dependable Assistant Teacher to support our classrooms and help create a safe, positive, and engaging environment for young children. We are looking for someone who is at least 18 years old, dependable, punctual, patient, and positive, comfortable actively playing and engaging with children, able to work as part of a teaching team, and willing to learn and grow in early childhood education. Previous child-care experience is helpful, but not required. A high school diploma or GED is required.
Requirements

- Must meet all Tennessee Department of Human Services child-care licensing requirements
- Must successfully complete required criminal background and fingerprint checks before beginning work with children
- Must complete required DHS pre-service and ongoing annual training
- Must obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid certification within required timelines
- Must successfully complete Red Barn’s pre-employment drug screening
- Must meet all health and employment requirements applicable to the position
