About The Position

The Learning Experience - Beltline is hiring a Full-Time Assistant Teacher to join our classroom team. You'll work alongside experienced teachers, participate in hands-on learning activities, and help create a positive environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to come to school. Previous professional classroom experience is a plus, but we're also interested in dependable, enthusiastic candidates who are ready to learn.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Willingness to complete required training
• Reliable, patient, positive, and team-oriented
• Must meet Michigan licensing requirements for the position

Nice To Haves

• Previous childcare, daycare, preschool, or experience working with children preferred
• Professional early childhood experience is a plus, but not required
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teachers with classroom activities and daily routines
• Engage children through stories, art, music, movement, sensory experiences, and play
• Support meals, rest time, diapering, toiling, and transitions as appropriate
• Encourage positive interactions and growing independence
• Use positive guidance and age-appropriate classroom management
• Help maintain appropriate supervision and classroom ratios
• Build positive relationships with children and families
• Keep classrooms clean, safe, organized, and welcoming
• Collaborate with teachers and center leadership
• Follow Michigan licensing and center requirements
